The practical choice

A uPVC door has a reinforced uPVC frame and a sealed panel, which makes it lighter and more affordable than a composite door. It won’t rot and only needs a wipe down, so it’s a sensible choice for back doors, side doors and utility rooms that get a lot of use.

Because uPVC doors use the same profiles and colours as uPVC windows, they’re easy to match. The photo shows a matching anthracite back door fitted next to anthracite French doors.

Where uPVC doors make sense

  • Back and side doors, where cost matters more than a showpiece finish.
  • Utility rooms and garage side doors.
  • Rented homes, where landlords want something robust and low-maintenance.
  • Anywhere the door needs to match uPVC windows exactly.

Panels, glass and colours

uPVC doors come with solid panels, half glass or full glass, in white, anthracite grey, black and woodgrain finishes. Obscure glass keeps privacy in a bathroom or utility, while clear glass lights a kitchen.

Security

Every door we fit closes onto a multi-point lock, and we fit anti-snap cylinders. If you’d like the extra solidity of a composite door, we can quote for both so you can compare.

Common questions

Can’t see your question? Call 07733 408235 and ask.

Is a uPVC door secure enough for a front door?

A well-fitted uPVC door with multi-point locking and an anti-snap cylinder is secure. Composite doors are more solid and look more like timber, which is why many people choose them for the front.

Can you match a new uPVC door to my existing windows?

Usually, yes. Tell us the colour and age of your windows, or show us at the survey, and we’ll match the profile and finish as closely as we can.

Can you fit a low threshold for easier access?

Low thresholds are available on many doors. Mention it when you get in touch, and we’ll check the options for your opening.
